Pressure on Sony to cut price of PS3
Publishers are urging Sony to cut the price of the PlayStation 3 as software and hardware sales continue to lag behind both Microsoft and Nintendo.
So far Sony have refused to budge on price, insisting that sales figures will improve, but experts are now predicting a reduction of up to £50 on the console within the next two months.
“If they can’t meaningfully increase their install base, then you will likely see a capital reallocation,” said industry analyst Mike Hickey.
