Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures
The success of the Lego Star Wars series took us all by surprise. TT Games have been clever enough to stick with their winning formula, but have they jumped the shark?
Coinciding with the release of new Indiana Jones movie, Lego Indiana Jones: The Original Adventures presents us with a tongue-in-cheek interpretation of the first three movies - Raiders of the Lost Ark, Temple of Doom and the Last Crusade.
Out go light sabres and storm troopers. In their place we have a whip and crocodiles. Background textures are bright and detailed but scratch off the shiny surface we have a very similar game hidden below.
As with the second Lego Star Wars title, the key to solving the challenging puzzles in Indian Jones is co-op. Life in the jungle is a lot easier if you've got a friend helping you out.
The number of puzzles and collectibles within the game give it a longer lifespan. Even after completing the game you'll find yourself running back through the levels in Free Play to pick up artifacts. Collection lego pieces allows you to unlock additional characters and other bonus items, as was the case in Star Wars.
There's little more to say about this game which hasn't already been said here. There's nothing wrong with Lego Indiana Jones but we do wonder when the bubble will burst for TT Games.
