Pro Evolution 5

This is the fifth instalment of Konami's Pro Evolution football simulation game and they just get better and better.

This time around Konami have made tackling a more realistic experience, forcing players to be patient and defensive to avoid giving away a foul.

An improved first-touch system and dribbling technique makes it harder for the attacking player to run rings around the defence, while shooting has also been tweaked to add to the realism.

Now, finally all versions of the game have online play, allowing even the loneliest of loners the opportunity to find a human match.

As with all previous Pro Evo titles the lack of licensed teams leaves you with a list of fake names, although Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid are now on board with real kits, club crests and player names. A bit of effort though and you can rename all the teams manually, if it is an issue.

If you’re a fan of the Pro Evo series then you’ve probably already purchased a copy of this on day one of release. If not, then there’s no better time to switch allegiance from FIFA.
