Nintendo have announced that Pokemon Rumble U will be available via the eShop in the UK on 15th August.
It is the first title to implement Wii U’s Near Field Communication technology, allowing players to purchase collectible Pokemon figures from stores and import virtual versions into the game using the GamePad’s NFC reader.
“We’re still working through the plans for the small number of figurines we plan to release, and will update people in due course,” said a Nintendo statement issued to MCV.
Pokemon Rumbel U supports four player multiplayer battles with players teaming up to defeat the strongest enemies with team work or battling head to head to see who can defeat and befriend the most Pokemon.
