If you’re new to Animal Crossing then you may be unaware of your island’s ‘stalk’ market.
Buying and selling turnips is the path to bell wealth and if you choose not to partake in the weekly opportunity then you’re missing out.
Each Sunday after you’ve unlocked Nook’s Cranny, Daisy Mae will visit your town and sell turnips from 5am to 12pm. Snooze and you lose, so make sure you’re up and about early.
Daisy sells turnips in bundles of 10 for a different price each week – varying between 90 and 110 bells per turnip. There’s no limit to how many you can buy (assuming you’ve got the bells) so load up your pockets, head home and drop them in your house. You won’t be able to place in storage so make the most of your floor space.
All the turnips you buy will spoil the following Sunday and become worthless so, in order to get rich, you need to sell your turnips before Saturday evening so each day from Monday head to Nook’s Cranny and get the latest prices from Timmy and Tommy. It is possible to be offered up to 600 bells per turnip, although 100-150 is the average.
Timmy and Tommy change their prices twice a day, so make sure you check again in the afternoon and cash in when the price is right. Leave it too long and its better to make a loss at the end of the week than risk them all spoiling.
