If you’re wanting to start your Pokemon GO experience with Pikachu rather than the default options of Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, then all you need to do is ignore the temptation to catch one of these three when Professor Willow first introduces you to the game. Walk away from them four times, wander around for a few minutes (it only took us three) and a cuddly pikachu suddenly appears on your phone screen waiting to be caught. Easy!
