The third Batman: Arkham game will be built using Unreal Engine 3, according to the online CV of a developer working on the title.
Daniel Wang, who works as a game designer at Chinese outsourcing company Virtuos, notes the yet to be revealed title on his LinkedIn profile, and appears to state that the game is being built “using unreal 3”.
“Will update on work on more official annoucements [sic]”, he adds.
The continued use of Unreal Engine 3 suggests that the next Arkham game may be a current or cross-generation title, rather than a next-gen exclusive. It’s expected that next-gen-exclusive titles being built using Epic’s Unreal Engine will use Unreal Engine 4.
